"Stan in South Africa" me@there wrote in message ... My laptop (Vista, IE7) always waits a much longer period, yet my PC (Win XP Pro IE7) shows "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page..." after only a short period. (Both on ADSL). Is there a way to lengthen the time before the 'cannot display' message appears on my PC? You're assuming a timeout and retries is involved? Have you traced it to check that assumption? Perhaps you have the phishing filter active on Vista but not on XP? eg Thanks in advance. |
