After establishing a remote assistance session from XP to Vista, I take
control of the vista computer and create a VPN connection on the Vista machine. When I do this it disconnects my remote session and will not let me back in until the Vista machine diconnects the VPN connection. |

That is the split tunnel issue. See this page for an explanation. Note the
