Default Canon LBP 5200

As the title suggests, I've got a *Canon LBP 5200*. I'm running Vista
x64 and of course the *drivers won't install*. (and yes, I've tried
running as admin and in compatability modes)

Does anyone have a fix for this? Canon said that becaust Vista x64 is
not in common use, they're not going to support it.

I thought maybe if at least I could get the driver installer to run,
maybe I could play around and least have some functions, but I can't
fool it into working. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

I've also of course tried the Vista auto detect hardware thing, without
any luck.
Very sad.

There does not appear to be a specific driver for this printer that word
with any Windows 64 bit system. Since it is a GDI printer, the chances of
finding a compatible driver range between slight to none.

Consider getting a PCL printer or PostScript printer to replace it. Although
there is no guarantee, chances are higher that you can get a good driver for
every operating system there ever was or will be.
