Hi,

Generally, that'd be a driver error, but the error message likely does not
indicate which one. If a minidump file is being created, you can send it to
me via email and I'll take a look at it. Use a subject line of 'per req' and
send to rick_at_mvps_dot_org. The file should reside under
C:\Windows\minidump, and you'll need to set folder options to see hidden and
system files/folders in order to locate it.

Stop 0X7E, System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled
This issue may occur if a system thread generates an exception that the
error handler does not catch. You receive this error message if one or more
of the following conditions are true:
.. Incompatible video adapter drivers.
.. A damaged device driver or system service.

Make sure you are getting your sound and video drivers from the
manufacturers and not Windows Update. Especially the sound card with both
the XP and Vista versions placed appropriately. (Creative and Vista still
struggle to be happy.)
