I have a DMA2100 Linksys Media Extender that I had working with my Windows
Vista Ultimate PC at one time. I am now experiencing the same issue I had previously with a connection failure. Both the DMA2100 and the Windows Vista PC are using a wired ethernet connection. Does anyone have the magic answer as to why I continue to have connection issues? I believe the initial problem was actually related to sharing or security issues with the media folders I was attemping to access but for the life of me I don't know what has changed or if this is the actual problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

what error messages?
have you rebooted your router? have you installed any updates to any software? have you tried a system restore to a time before the issue started? Hi Barb,
I have tried rebooting the Router as well as the DMA2100 Media extender. There was a firmware update applied to the Media extender and I believe some automatic Windows Updates were applied. I don't have a backup to enable me to do a restore.
