Have been wanting to make this video for months, but my old computer was
messed up. So, recently bought a new computer, which currently using and it works very well. Now my friend recommended using this, so thought will try it out and his like a computer genuis. He helped me download a song to the program, but we (he) can't figure out how to download my DVD to the computer. If you can't download the DVD to a file then you can't download to this program. So, how do you download your DVD to one of your computer files? Hope someone can answer my question because really don't understand how. Thanks to anyone who helps me. Hope this is the correct topic....... |

Okay sorry was trying to figure out how to reply, well as you can tell
figured out how to. Trying to use "Windows Movie Maker." It is/was a show type of DVD. To be specific a Smallville DVD. Don't know how to download it to the computer to be put into a file. OK, thanks for the info. Here are some basics that should point you in the right direction: 1) Windows MovieMaker will accept these video formats: asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv 2) If you are going to copy files from a commercial DVD then you need software that is capable of doing that. Windows MM, WMPlayer or DVD Maker will not rip/convert commercial DVDs. (Be sure to consider the legalities of copying a commercial DVD.) Start at this website to get some ideas of DVD copy softwa http://www.dvdcopyingsoftwarereview.com/ 3) If you’re trying to download a clip from the internet and load it into your computer, then follow the downloading instructions and guidelines of the website. Bottom line is that you need to convert any video clips that you want to export into Windows Movie Maker into the formats mentioned above, using whatever software that will do the trick. Hope this helps… -- oscar ....Right click is your best friend... "Elizabeth" wrote: Okay sorry was trying to figure out how to reply, well as you can tell figured out how to. Yes, of course want it to be legal.
Don't actually want to use the videos for illegal purposes, all wanmt to do is make it intro clips and edit to make a music video. (like making music videos =} and yes make sure that put a disclaimer on it. Though never made a movie from a DVD before.... ) It really doesn't help me. Know pretty nothing about computers. Recently just got a new computer so pretty sure it can handle it. Not sure if you understand this or not, but want it to be put into the computer file like how you put pictures in your computer file. Just like saving a picture to your computer file want to do the same with the video. Honestly my friend has to say everything step by step in the easier manner ever for me to understand him what his talking about with computers. So, if understand correctly need to download software, but the only problem is need it free. Well, at least you tried, so thanks. |
