It'd likely be under the C:\Program Files directory, possibly under the
Common Files or Logitech directories.

Hi zach,
One other bit of information that may help-after opening DVD Maker if I
drag
and drop the original .avi file will load fine. However if I drag and
drop
this file after converting it to mpeg DVD format this causes DVD Maker
to
stop working and tell me needs to close. This worked for me fine in
the
past.

Are you still getting problems playing just MPEG files? Those crashes would
be much more interesting in that that might be something I could reproduce
myself given the same MPEG file.

Does this DVD crash on a mate's computer too... or is it just your system
experiencing this badness?

zach-thanks for reply. Just to add I was able to drag and drop .avi

close. At the moment I am seeing if DVD maker can create DVD from .avi

without doing the conversion to mpeg first.

Default Unable to open video with Media Player or use DVD Maker

Hi zach,
I have not been able to sign in for few days for some reason but now OK-I
was not ignoring you. Still having same problems with DVD maker and also
found out with Movie Maker also. Still problem playing DVDs also. If I drop
and drag .avi files to DVD maker I am able to encode and burn DVD but cannot
with mpeg. I did download basic windows media player for the heck of it and
if I select this from autoplay option I can play DVD. But if I select WMP or
Windows Media Center to play DVD they close and give message that there was a
problem and need to close.
Thanks,
Bob
