Default Unable to open video with Media Player or use DVD Maker

Recently when trying to open mpeg video file WMP opens but then will close
with error message "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working"
This message also pops up when trying to drag and drop mpeg video to DVD
Maker and causes DVD Maker also to close.
If someone smarter than I can help would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Doc

Dear All,
Just wanted to add that when I open the the video folder containing video
files this will also give "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped
working" message and that program needs to close. When then clicking on
video file WMP will not even open.
Thank you,
Doc

Default Unable to open video with Media Player or use DVD Maker

Hi zach,
One other bit of information that may help-after opening DVD Maker if I drag
and drop the original .avi file will load fine. However if I drag and drop
this file after converting it to mpeg DVD format this causes DVD Maker to
stop working and tell me needs to close. This worked for me fine in the past.

zach-thanks for reply. Just to add I was able to drag and drop .avi video
file into DVD maker without closing but the converted mpeg file causes to
close. At the moment I am seeing if DVD maker can create DVD from .avi file
without doing the conversion to mpeg first.

Default Unable to open video with Media Player or use DVD Maker

zach,
Some new information-I was able to encode and burn DVD from .avi file with
DVD Maker. However when I tried to play on my computer WMP and Windows Media
Center both had problems that caused them to close. The DVD does play on my
home DVD player but I did not even know I had problem with the computer DVD
playback. Any help would be appreciated to try and sort this out.
Thanks,
Bob

Recently when trying to open mpeg video file WMP opens but then will
close
with error message "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped
working"
This message also pops up when trying to drag and drop mpeg video to
DVD
Maker and causes DVD Maker also to close.
If someone smarter than I can help would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Doc

zach,
Some new information-I was able to encode and burn DVD from .avi file with
DVD Maker. However when I tried to play on my computer WMP and Windows Media
Center both had problems that caused them to close. The DVD does play on my
home DVD player but I did not even know I had problem with the computer DVD
playback. Any help would be appreciated to try and sort this out.
Thanks,
Bob

zach-thanks for reply. Just to add I was able to drag and drop .avi video
file into DVD maker without closing but the converted mpeg file causes to
close. At the moment I am seeing if DVD maker can create DVD from .avi file
without doing the conversion to mpeg first.

No logitech webcam drivers but sorry I do not know how to determine if
LVPrcInj.dll is on the system. How would I do this?
Thanks for your patience,
Bob

You wouldn't happen to have Logitech webcam drivers on this system or
"LVPrcInj.dll" on this system, would you... ?

Hi zach,
One other bit of information that may help-after opening DVD Maker if I
drag
and drop the original .avi file will load fine. However if I drag and
drop
this file after converting it to mpeg DVD format this causes DVD Maker to
stop working and tell me needs to close. This worked for me fine in the
past.
