You turned UAC on? This should have been on by default, you shouldn't have
had to turn it on. Also, what are you trying to edit? Things like Word files shouldn't need elevated permissions to edit. |

I suggest you turn it back off.....go to control panel, users, click on user
accounts and at the bottom of that list is turn off user account control. click on this and when you get to the next screen, make sure that the little box is unchecked. You will have to restart your computer for this to take effect. alli "Master_dv" wrote in message ... i turned it off at the begining and now i turned it on and can't turn it off again i want free access to my computer it blocked evrything... thing like system restore and user accounts editing... Here are instructions to disable UAC:
http://www.vistaclues.com/how-to-dis...count-control/ UAC is a good thing, though, and will help keep you safe from spyware and viruses. Try turning off the secure desktop first and see if that's good enough for you (it makes UAC less annoying): http://www.vistaclues.com/make-user-...less-annoying/ |

What build of Vista?
This sounds like an early Beta of Vista. UAC is not near as intrusive in RTM and causes me no problems like the early Betas -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "Master_dv" wrote in message ... i tried to find a solution but i diden't found any... anyway, my problam is that i can't stop the Uac protaction on my computr.... i turned it on and he blocked me from editing anything. i read that it sopose to be a dialog that supose to ask me for an admin password but there isan't any dialog like this... help me please |
