Default Network Sync problem

Hi, I have a working wired network with my laptop on XP and a desktop on
Vista Home Premium. I can see files ok from one pc to another (either way)
but what I would really like to be able to do is automatically update files
on both computers while working on either one. Surely this is not too much to
ask....... is it???
Thanks for reading this and even more thanks if you can HELP!!!!!

Here's a new program from Microsoft that can do what you want:

Windows Live Mesh Tech Preview

You can find more such programs by doing a web search for "file
synchronization".
