looking for drivers for a vivicam 5190 from vivitar that will be Vista
compatable

All of the links for that camera are for sites outside the USA. The
Vivitar site doesn't even list it.

Could only find this at a site in France. I is a direct download link
for the setup files in zipped format:

Default Vivicam 5190

ikernal.exe error reported when starting setup, i have notices that mu
devive manager reports it as sunplus, now i am confused. The case says
vivitat and vivicam, but device manager says sunplus. I have even tried to
install via device manager and failed.

I'm surprised Vista doesn't see it as a USB drive.

On that thought, I just looked at the manual for the 5195. There is a
setting on the camera to use it AS an external drive or to download
pics to your PC. This is from that manual:

3.7 The other settings
You can also set the other function in the menu?

3.8. USB (storage) & PC camera mode
PC-CAM mode: this camera can be used as a webcam.
Storage mode: In this mode, you can download, delete and upload files.
This camera can also be used as a removable disk.

There is more. Just read your manual or get the 5195 manual online

my images.
