Movie maker stops responding while publishing
I am trying to publish a project to my computer. Movie maker just hangs after
progressing to 7%. there are no error messages. It is just that the time required to publish it keeps on increasing without any progress at all. The version on my computer is 6.0.6000.16386. this is a recent phenomenon and I have been able to publish movies quite effectively earlier. Thanks in advance

Additional info:
I have Windows Vista Home Premium & am trying to edit a 5.7 GB AVI file (a clip of a laparoscopic operation) that I downloaded from my surgical camera. I have previously successfully edited and published using the same combo. I have brought that 30' file down to 4' but am unable to publish it so please dont tell me to use another program. I tried going to Tools Options and unchecking reference to both Roxio & AVI but that does not help. My Windows is up to date. Any suggestions?
