Hi: I'm trying to install an HP Laserjet 1000 printer in W Vista and I did

HP website states quite clearly to contact them regarding software for this

Can't install a HP Laserjet 1000 Printer in Vista
When Vista first came out, HP told me to use the 6P printer driver for my
1022n Laserjet. It worked fine. About 8 months later, they wrote a driver for it. fwiw Tony "Cari (MS-MVP)" wrote in message ... I would try the LaserJet 5p or 6p driver.
