I think that's what I mean. LOL
I'm on a Vista machine. I have two computers networked. This Vista machine to an XP Home SP3 machine. I can access files fine from the Vista machine. However I want to be able to delete and write and otherwise modify files on the XP machine when I'm on the Vista machine. How do I go about doing this? Thanks. |

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared. Assuming that XP is already able to read the folder or files that you
selected on Vista machine. In order for XP to have more control over selected folder or file: -right click selected folder. -Properties -Sharing -Advanced Sharing, check "Share this folder", then Permissions -Share permissions Add Everyone -check Control, Change, Read -OK, OK, Close -- oscar ![]() "Right click is a good friend..."
