gasp. help. Slow internet. *I'm on a network consisting of 3 computers.* A vista 32bit Desktop Tablet xP Vista Laptop *Network Setup:* Internet Cable Modem Router ethernet cable to desktop *Network Map:* Desktop Switch Router Internet When the Desktop and Tablet are on at the same time, the internet speed does not take a dip in speed on both computers. averaging 4.3/5 mb speed But the moment the Vista Laptop turns on, it drags down the entire network. Loading google takes forever. *Network Map is now like this:* Desktop Switch Router Vista Laptop Internet Is that normal?? So i'm assuming the map is correct, my desktop is now going through the vista laptop in order to get onto the internet. But the Laptop is not connected through anything. SO i'm assuming that its: Desktop Router Vista Laptop Router Modem Internet *I'm using*: nForce Networking Controller #2 [driver 65.7.4.0] Wrt54g router Shaw cable modem Any help will be appreciated Thanks! ![]() -- nevamind |

Hi nevamind,
please post a copy of your ipconfig from the Vista machine when connected. Click start and type CMD Once in the Command window type IPCONFIG / ALL You can copy from that window by right clicking the top border and choosing properties and then look for the Quick edit mode and check the box and hit OK Then you can drag the mouse and highlight all of it and right click the border above again and select edit, then copy. then paste in here please.: -- James M Driscoll Jr MCTS (Vista) Spaceman "nevamind" wrote in message ... gasp. help.
