Default Search Index - Rebuild or Restore Defaults

Running Vista Home Premium. Searching for filenames that are in My Documents
no longer works unless I check the box for Include hidden, non-indexed, and
system files. But then searches take over 3 minutes. It used to work fine.

Should I Rebuild the Index or Restore Defaults?

Thanks, CB

Yes.

(You can customise the default setup after the rebuild.)

Which one should I do? Both say it will take several hours to complete.

What do you mean I can customise it?

"Yes" meant do BOTH.

Agreed. Then rebuild, and finally customise what folders you want to be
indexed, if you like. Defaults works for most, though.
