Default BSOD on installing certain driver

I just got a pair of USB surround sound headphones Using the C-Media 106-L chip. On the device manager it comes up as a usb audio device with no drivers installed. when i try to install the drivers it bsod every time with a system service exception. I've tried installing it through the actual installer and through the update driver software in device manager but its the same thing no matter what. The driver it is trying to install is USB Multi channel audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you contacted the tech support for the speaker manufacturer to see if
the speakers are compatible with Vista?

Hi Orlicr,

Could you please provide the hardwareIDs of the device? (devmgmt.msc --
device properties -- details tab, all values under "hardwareIDs" and
"compatibleIDs").
