sidewinder big anoying problems
hi, i purchased a microsoft sidewinder mouse about 2 or 3 months ago, i have treated it with care, never had anything spilt on it, no damage wotsoever. recently... about 3 weeks ago i noticed that during game or desktop i would be moving my mouse and it would suddenly stop, completely. it would do this for about 4 seconds and then start working again, about 40% of the time that it does this is it makes the windows "connect/disconnect new hardware" sounds. this puzzled me and i wondered if it was a software problem, so after many troubles i finally uninstalled intellipoint and the mouse drivers and reinstalled them. i have since also changed usb port but to no avail. this problem continues but instead of it being 3 or 4 seconds before it starts working again it is now 10-15 second breaks where it stops working completely. i am certain that my wire is not faulty as my wires do not move at the back of my mouse and it is very random. Please please somebody help me, i am even considering a full reformat because its so anoying. Cheers CarVeR -- c4rv3r Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
