Are you sharing your wife's computer's connection or is your computer
connected to a router?

Does the behavior persist if your machine is connected directly to the
modem?

How to troubleshoot network connectivity problems in Internet Explorer

Last year I bought two Dell Dimension E520 computers running Windows
Vista.
My Internet provided is ATT Yahoo. The DLS modem is connect to my wife
computer and mine is via wired connection.
Ever since we had these new computers, I keep getting cut off the
Internet.
The access icon will go from Access local and Internet to limited Internet
where I have to reboot all the time. Sometimes I will have to reboot as
since as the computer is booted up and sometimes it can go for a couple of
hours. I have tested the connection to my Dell notebook running Windows XP
and no issues. I can stay on line for days without it cutting me off.
If anyone can offer help I would really really appreciate it.
Thank you
