Hi, I'm running two monitors off one video card. My power button is set to sleep mode. Three times now that I've hit the button and return from sleep mode, it shows me computer restarting and the Load windows in "safe mode" screen. I have one Samsung CRT 765MB and one Samsung CRT 710M. My catalyst drivers are 8.8. Anyone else have this problem? Safe mode works just fine with one monitor but it totally bombs itself with two screens. -- MadBull 'www.chuayou.com' (http://www.chuayou.com) 3.2Ghz AMD X2 5000+ BE *//* 4GB DDR2 800Mhz (OCZ/Patriot) *//* Asus M2A-VM *//* Asus Radeon EAH4850 512MB *//* 2x Seagate 7200.10 320GB SATA *// *OCZ StealthXStream 600W PSU *//* Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1 |

Hmm it seems no one is able to help me. Well, for those who may have this problem in the future here is an update: - Sleep mode with Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit *does not work with multidisplays *using the radeon HD4850 running Catalyst 8.7 or Catalyst 8.8. It works only on a single display and will not work even when the secondary display is disabled. The secondary monitor must be physically detached from the graphics card (remove the DVI, AGP, or S-Video cable) for the system to return from sleep mode. If anyone cares to change that conclusion be my guest. As far as I'm concerned, this is simply the reality of things on my end. Thanks for those who were willing to try. -- MadBull 'www.chuayou.com' (http://www.chuayou.com) vista ultimate 32-bit sp1 *//*3.2ghz amd x2 5000+ be *//* 4gb ddr2 800mhz (ocz/patriot) *//* asus m2a-vm *//* asus radeon eah4850 512mb *//* 2x seagate 7200.10 320gb sata *// *samsung syncmaster 765mb crt *//* samsung syncmaster 710m lcd *//* ocz stealthxstream 600w psu |
