Default Can't install any printer, used to work

Hi,

I'm using vista ultimate x64, and no matter what printer i try to add,
whether it be local port or network, or different brands of printers,
none work and all come up with the 0x000005b3 error: this operation
cannot be completed. I started having this problem after I had a power
outage, but since then i have done sfc and chkdsk and fixed everything,
except for this one problem. I really don't want to reinstall windows
just to fix this problem, so if anyone has a solution, please tell me.

Does your keyboard choice now match the choice made when the OS was
installed?

Unplug printer from usb port. delete printer in hardware
manager.Reboot, Down load latest vista driver at your printers support
site. Install driver.

this is a very odd error. Do you get this error if you select the inbox
Apollo driver to LPT1:?

E:\winerror 0x000005b3
1459 ERROR_REQUIRES_INTERACTIVE_WINDOWSTATION -- No NTSTATUS matched
