Using Vista Ultimate, I have a home network with 3 PCs. One PC keeps
intermittently dropping out-going connections. It happens with IE during uploads but more noticeably with a program like Skype. I have tried resetting tcp/ip with no help. I completely uninstalled the Norton firewall with their Removal program and no help. Is there anyway to re-install Socks? Any other ideas about the possible cause for uplink drop-outs? Thanks...! -- |

Sorry, I meant winsock not socks (a proxy).
I have tried a winsock catalog reset and tcp/ip stack reset to no avail. Any ideas appreciated! -- "glamart" wrote in message ... Using Vista Ultimate, I have a home network with 3 PCs.
