Default 'Folder could not be shared'

Hi, I've been trying to transfer some files from my old desktop (XP) to
my new laptop (Vista Home Premium 32 bit) but I'm having some trouble.

So.. heres what I've done so far, I created a folder on my desktop,
right clicked on it and clicked SHARE. Then the file sharing window pops
up and under the dropbox I chose EVERYONE and then I clicked share on
the bottom. After that UAC and some other confirmation window popped up.

For UAC I clicked continue but for the other confirmation window I
accidently pressed 'no' or something I didn't get to see what program it
was but I think some program is blocking the file sharing process for me
because everytime I try to share a folder I keep getting "your folder
could not be shared."

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

What do you receive if using net share command in Vista? Or this post may
help too.
