hard-drive manufacturer's utilities (on their website) ... might take a few good hours. Choose "advanced install"
Then delete all current partitions. Then create a new install partition. Then format said partition. Install to the newly created partition -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "ISHY" wrote in message ... *i have got vista installation DVD the full version i get to part where i have to select a hard drive however the one i currently have got 500gb sata drive doesn't show up.* *when i do load drivers and browse the harddrive is there and asks me wether want to format it which i accept but still it wont format it will say unable to format etc. * *so how am i suppose to put vista on now.* *i am currently running xp 64 and want to wipe that off and put vista ultimate 64* *help will be very much appreciated.* *Thank you.* -- ISHY |
