Default Vista enable to access print server on windows 2000

Hi,
I'm having trouble accessing a dell printer that's USB connected to a
windows 2000 server from my vista laptop. The vista laptop can 'see'
the windows 2000 server as well as the dell printer. However, when I
try installing, it's giving me an error such as 0x0000000d which is
related to the lack of vista driver on the windows 2000 machine.

How can I make it work? It seems to be a driver problem. On Windows
2000 server you can list additional printer drivers for other networked
computers to connect to the printer, but there is no listing for Vista
(which was not on the market yet) and you cannot add additional
drivers...

Thanks
Shailesh- Washington DC

You may want to install the printer locally and remap it as network printer.
This search result may help.
