I have a really odd issue, if I restart my PC I get past post and when the loading Vista scroll should start I get a black screen, if I restart I get a failure to start and if I choose start normally every thing works fine I tried a Vista repair to no avail, and its annoying and silly that the only way I can boot is to fail to boot first. I am running Vista Ultimate x64/8 GB Ram/8800 GTS/500 GB HD, not sure if anyone can point me in the right direction, but thought I would try. -- yedranedra |

This is a fresh install, I added memory and a Creative sound card so rebuilt the machine last Friday. To my knowledge it has done this since I rebuilt it. /sigh And yes I did reformat the hard drive when I did the install so it was a clean install. -- yedranedra |

Check to make sure your memory is tight, then run the memory checker. I
would also uninstall the Creative driver and try it. You could be either having a driver problem at that point or something electrical that works after it has been warmed up a little thru the restart. "yedranedra" wrote in message ...
