Default Network Shares 2003

Why are netowrk shares so slow to show up?

If I type \\computer\sharename...
it takes over a minute to show the folder... any other machine on the
network without vista is instantaneous...

See my other post search for "Painfull Slow".

At this point... VISTA is very pretty but for anyone that is using it in a
development environment or in a networked environment it is not ready.

I cannot believe that this issue is in a released version of windows...

I guess network shares were not part of the test plan.
