Searching within non-indexed files.
No matter what options I select, I can't seem to get vista to search within
non-indexed files. I have "always search file names and contents" checked and I am searching "Everywhere". But vista will not show me files that contain my keyword unless the file has been indexed. |

Actually, I was not specific ehough. I can't get vista to search within files
that are not indexable. i.e. If i create a file called file.grg and put the word "Greg" inside it, my search will not find the file when searching for greg even if i have always search file names and contents selected. But if i change the name to file.txt it will (even if it is in a non-indexed lcoation. "auser" wrote: No matter what options I select, I can't seem to get vista to search within non-indexed files.
