Hi,
Difficult to tell, as that is an unusual error. Best guess is that there is some malware on the system interfering with proper operation of the explorer shell. I'd do some formal scanning from safe mode, or better yet, a bootable 'nix or bartpe disk. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "fuji_man" wrote in message ... Based on what little I could find on that error, it looks like it may be a problem with your processor. Essentially, the core has become either nonresponsive or deadlocked, so the clock synchronization between the cores is off. While in this case the error information points to explorer.exe, I did find several examples that shared one critical driver in the bugcheck record: sptd.sys, which is used by Daemon Tools: WARNING: Stack unwind information not available.
