Default Vista Business Upgrade - Can I use XP Pro on another PC?

Just upgraded a PC to Vista Business; the license is an upgrade. Does is
still "tie" the original XP Pro license to the PC, or can I use it on
another PC or laptop?

TIA,

The XP Pro license is still tied to your upgraded PC. That's why you
got a discount over the full retail price.

TIA,

You paid for ONE license, you only get to use the software on ONE
pc!!! And upgrade is just that, it is NOT permission to use the old
software on any other machine.

What a load of tosh.
Of course you can use the other original xp pro on another machine.
I know it states that you are only supposed to use it on one PC, but
Microsoft, even though they can be a pain in the rear, are not bothered
about you installing it on another pc you own. Just install the dam thing
and don't worry about it

No, that is blatantly false. Just as the Upgrade EULA makes perfectly
clear, the license for the earlier, qualifying OS will be subsumed
(become an integral part of) by the Vista Upgrade license. Basically,
you have no license to use the Upgrade without there first being an
earlier, qualifying OS license _permanently_ in place on the computer,
and that qualifying license cannot subsequently be used anywhere else.

With the billions of dollars Microsoft are making, I certainly would not
think twice about installing the same original windows disk on how ever many
computers I had, I have four in my house and each of them has vista ultimate
installed from the same disk, who in thier right mind would go out and
purchase four seperate copies of ANY program "just to be a good boy" LOL,
don't make me laugh.
I paid for Microsoft Vista Ultimate and will continue to install it on as
many computers as I wish. I could understand you moaning if I had downloaded
it via bit torrent yes. But what your saying is, if I was to purchase for
example Fifa 2009 and put it on my PC, I shouldn't put it on my Sons PC as
well, but I should buy ANOTHER copy of Fifa 2009 for his PC, Your crazy man.
and bloody stupid.

If you used the same copy and the same keys to install Vista on multiple
machines, don't be too surprised when the machines start complaining about
invalid keys and quit working properly. (Unless you have some sort of corp
or similar key.)
