Default DVD drive can't read DVD on Vista

Hi. My laptop couldn't read DVD anymore, after one fine day. It was
working fine maybe 2 months back, now it can't read any DVD at all, but
it's able to read CDs.
I just can't figure out why. Hope someone is able to help
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Run a lens cleaner disk, the DVD reader may be clogged or covered by dust.
The lens used for CD's is not the same as the one used for DVD's, which may
explain why those disks work and DVD's don't. A lens cleaner disk can
usually be found at most stores that sell optical media disks.
