Default What Fax Modem to buy for Vista - Caller ID and Fax

Hi,

I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate. My PCTel-based modem is not
compatible. I need to Fax and I'd like to use YAC or "Vista Caller ID"
programs to display and record caller id.

What modem should I buy that will work in Vista 32-bit Ultimate and
support fax and caller id?

THanks,
John

Consult the VHCL. That's what it's for.

I'm not sure about caller ID but I use this card:

It works well and it's cheap.

Hi John,

Mainpine manufacture a range of XP/Vista/2003/2008 fax boards that
support many national and international Caller ID standards. We also
supply an upgrade to the Microsoft Fax Engine (FSP) that enables V.34
high speed fax (Super-G3) and Error Correction Mode (ECM);
