Default Modifying OEM properties listed in system properties

I have chased Vista through the xp 64 and the Vista Betas I have it
where I need to be, 5.8 on the experience level. I have modified the
information shown on those pages. My question is under admin tools
system information there are several lines that I would like to modify.
System Manufacturer to be filled by OEM, and system model to be filled
by OEM are there any ideas Thanks

Hello Fireman,

There are several tweaking apps. that let you do this, like this one ,
free from

'Ashampoo Winoptimizer 2009 - Computeractive'

6954

When you run the program, tick get full product key - takes you to
ashampoo site and they give you a free key

Hope this helps

Hi,

Did you try filling in the details you wanted using that app. ,
restarting , then uninstalling it. Think the entries you made would
remain.

Hi,

If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can right click and
modify the names for Registered Owner and Registered Organization
strings.

You will find them under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
version. Click on the Current version folder in the left pane and they
appear in the right pane.

The OEM info string is under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current
version\OEMInformation. I have never tried editing this one.

Hope this helps

Sorry there is OEM there but that does not change the 2 lines I would
like tto change. I have modified those and they work as they are

Hi,

There's a link here that shows how, or download the Winbubble app and
use that

'Unlock for Us: Customizing OEM Logo in Windows Vista'

Hope it helps
