Default Which OS to use? ...

Hello guys!

First of all, I'm new here on this forum so '-Hi'- to everyone!

You maybe hear this question every single day. Next month I'm buying a
new computer: *(Intel Quad Q9550, 4gb ram and HD4870 X2.)*

The computer will be used for:
-GAMING (CS:S, CRYSIS, COD4)
-VIDEO EDITING (ADOBE, SONY VEGAS, ...)
-THE USUAL, MSN, INTERNET, MUSIC ETC
Now I'm wondering, I would like to use the full 4GB of ram. And I want
a STABLE windows without having driver problems all the time.

Most important is that it works fine on CS:S (I'm semi-professional
CS:S player).

So, can I be sure that my system will work well with 64 bit? Or can I
better forget that 1gb of ram and take the 32bit version?

I've allready asked this at 2 forums, but the opinions were very
diffrent. So I'm asking this on the *VistaX64 *forums, u guys can help
me out with this

Many Thanks!! 3
EmHe!

We can make this a dollar each way bet!
Crysis is heavy on use of resources; when it came out it was rated the most
intensive resource user game.

Personally, for myself; I'd settle for 32bit, and use of about 3 G RAM

I am Mick. A poster here in your replies.
It means he just agrees with my preference for RAM and 32bit OS; that's all.
And this is not a 64bit Newsgroup; it is Vista installation_setup.

Remember, Vista requires a bare minimum of 1 Gig of RAM

Below are System Requirements to run Crysis in Vista:
Minimum Recommended
Microsoft Windows[23]
Operating System Windows Vista
3.2 GHz or faster for Vista Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.2 GHz, or AMD Athlon 64 X2
4400+
Vista 2 GB RAM
Hard Drive Space 12 GB of free space
GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB or ATI 2900XT 512MB
Sound Hardware DirectX 9.0c compliant card (DirectX 10.1 compliant if
applicable)

If you use a news reader like Windows Mail then you will see the thread
replies.

It seems you're using the web interface.....

Which you apparently know nothing about.

Seeing past posts is much easier there than with a newsreader. Just
scroll up.
