Default Vista 64 Question

I'm considering getting a new HDD with 32MB cache and installing Vista 64.
The machine is a Pentium D running 2GB Memory with an Intel 945G chipset. I
also use ReadyBoost quite successfully. I'll be installing some 32bit
software afterwards. Appreciate all help and thoughts and cautions ?

Check with the manufacturers of any peripheral devices in your possession.
If 64bit drivers are not available, the peripheral devices will not work and
will have to be replaced with devices which have 64bit support.

Also consider any devices which you may purchase in the near future.

Default Vista 64 Question

The only other peripheral I use really is a Sony Gigapocket recorder with
Media Center - and that is sort of grandfathered in with an XP driver with
no hope of a Vista 32 driver let alone 64. Thank you for the advice.!
