G'Day All,

I see I need to do a clean install and then reinstall my Apps - Ok!

In Xp I have most Apps in C:/Program Files and a few in D:/Program Files.

Do I need to reinstall the ones on D:/Program Files?

If so, do I need to use WET on drive D, or are the settings on C?

What is the significance of "Clean Install" - I thought this implied reduced
functionality?

With a clean install, you have to do a reinstall of all your 3rd Party
applications, and that includes Office, Anti-virus, Adobe, etc.

When you install programs Registry Keys are installed.
You will have a new install, you will have a new Registry.
The old path is no longer there.

If you keep some programs in D:\Program Files (as I do) they will have to be
reinstalled also.

I don't want to install something like Streets and Trips onto my C: drive
and clog the drive with something I use infrequently. (-:

Hi Pat,

After I did a clean reinstall on the C partition, the programs that had
been installed on D continued to run just fine from their .exe files -
I didn't need to reinstall them. Probably depends what they are, you may
be lucky.
