What is the requirement for a vendor to state a product is Vista Ready? ATI
labels its TV Wonder line Vista Ready and ATI tested, But has no drivers, not even Betas for this product on the Vista RTM. Does VISTA READY mean... "Eventually we will have a driver for Vista" or that there is a tested and released driver... Perhaps you guys at MS need to police some branding issues. |

This is not MS. This is only a user-to-user self help group.
You should email or call ATI and ask them how they define Vista Ready. "Christopher -- 330" wrote in message ... What is the requirement for a vendor to state a product is Vista Ready? I'm sure we have some readers from the Microsoft organization... If you're
not one of them, I wasn't talking to you, please don't be offended. ATi Defines Vista Ready or any product release as: we'll do our best to have a driver ready. Historically they've fallen short in making their non GPU products useable by microsoft operating systems. My focus was to bring the attention on "Vista Ready" which is a microsoft brand.. not ATI. Perhaps you ought to read ATI's site... wonder 550/650 (else my cards
wouldn't work eh) are supported and have drivers, the others that can run in vista get drivers when released to the public in Jan 2007. "Christopher -- 330" wrote in message ... "Vista Ready" is not a brand... it's a certification.

Ignore that second link. Just find the Release notes link on the software
download page. Has list of all supported products. -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-) Batteries not included. I've got an ATI TV Wonder Pro card. ATI's site only lists drivers for my
card for W2K, but I've got it running on XP. Vista HCL says it is supported but not logoed yet. Time'll tell, I guess. Probably not much help, but I guess the only way to really know is to throw the card into a Vista box and see what happens... :-( Lang "Christopher -- 330" wrote in message ... I was just told by ATI that drivers that make the tv or all in wonder cards
come from MICROSOFT not ATI. I have an all in wonder that has vista drivers i got at the web site but no tv tuner drivers. I too read and was told it was Vista compatible. So i dont know if im waiting around for Microsoft or ati or never for a driver to come out. All know is i beta tested XP 6 months before it came out ... i didnt have these kinda compatibility issues. After really reading through and talking to ATI and calling them I realized,
there cards are all not HDTV ready really. If i were to hook up a hd cable box or sat tuner to it. This year or this month even arent all tv manufacters required to put out HD complient products? Does or why doesnt this apply to companies putting out analog tv tuner cards?? "Christopher -- 330" wrote: What is the requirement for a vendor to state a product is Vista Ready?
