Curious here - what is "ppc" and "wmdc" and to detect what?

This worked for me with a PPC-6700 (Windows Mobile Devioce Center Beta 3) and
is what MS suggests (from what I could gather): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en Just download and install the above - be patient - the install takes a long time. Downled and installed but now:
PPC 6700 from Sprint. Running Vista RC1 with Live One Care Beta. Connecting and reading but when it attempts to sync it just immitates it with all the right symbyology but it never completes. What's going on? Anyone? I clicked on that link and this is what I got:
