i did not say it vista had anything to do with dust build up, the amount of dust that was there did not effect xp a week ago, as soon as i installed vista cpu kept running hot that is all -- marko111 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ marko111's Profile: http://winvistaclub.com/forum/member.php?userid=579 View this thread: http://winvistaclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24170 |

Vista is more CPU intensive then XP so an amount of dust that did not affect
XP may cause a Vista CPU to overheat especially even if you are not using some CPU intensive windows functions in Vista that you did not use in XP. As you have found out, simply having a a quick look doesn't always show up
the problem. It is only when you remove the fan itself that you see what has been causing the problem all along. -- -- John Barnett MVP Windows XP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org Web: http://www.silversurfer-guide.com The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is".
