Default overheating cpu


Great holly one's i beg for your forgiveness, why i said i did not think
it was dust build up cos i could not see any untill o remove the fan.
and saw the problem a mass of dust, plus i never had this problem with
xp, vista must be a bit more memory inten. ill will listen to the
people in the know, cpu is now reading 26c at idle insted of 38c thanks
again.

It has nothing to do with Vista. It has to do more with time and the amount
of dust in the air..

i did not say it vista had anything to do with dust build up, the amount
of dust that was there did not effect xp a week ago, as soon as i
installed vista cpu kept running hot that is all

Default overheating cpu

Vista is more CPU intensive then XP so an amount of dust that did not affect
XP may cause a Vista CPU to overheat especially even if you are not using
some CPU intensive windows functions in Vista that you did not use in XP.

As you have found out, simply having a a quick look doesn't always show up
the problem. It is only when you remove the fan itself that you see what has
been causing the problem all along.
