Does anyone know how to deal with a logon problem. When starting Vista after entering password, the screen shows User profile cannot log you on. Would be grateful for any suggestions -- lotus604 |

Hi Shawn Thanks for the reply to my problem. I haven't succeeded yet as it doesn't recognise my administrator password. I have to do this on my wifes logon account. When I get into regedit, I don't get the same pages as in the tutorial. Thank you Ron -- lotus604 |

Ron, In that case, you might consider doing a '*System Restore* ' (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...how.html)using a restore point dated before you got this error to see if it will run properly afterwards. -- Brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*VISTA FORUMS*' (http://www.vistax64.com) *Please post feedback to help others.* |

Did you try Method Two for a System Restore at boot? http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...store-how.html lotus604;863394 Wrote: Hi Shawn I did try that, but it asked for my password, and it didn't recognise it.
