Hi, is there possible to redirect Vista shadow copy service storage to other partition with cluster size =16 kB ? My system one has cluster 4 KB and suffers by defragmenting issue for VSS and cluster 16 kB. The space at system one is also a reason. Some 1-2 month ago I was playing with some Vista CL commands not successful and not remember which, probably fsutil... it claimed it is possible but failed. -- Poutnik Different opinions often mean people know only their own parts of the truth. |

No you can't move it. For the VSS problem, don't be a cheapskate.
Buy a defragmenter that can handle the problem. -- Mad Mike "Poutnik " wrote Hi, is there possible to redirect Vista shadow copy service storage to other partition with cluster size =16 kB ? A defragger that can work around the VSS on those partitions will help. I've been using Diskeeper 2008 for defragging my 4kB cluster sized partition (vista home premium) for many months now. I use the special VSS defrag mode as recommended in the manual and it's been great so far- no unusual restore point activity or space consumption after a defrag. -- barracuda ------------------------------------------------------------------------ barracuda's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/barracuda.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...ce/1058000.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
