If anyone has any thoughts on this it would be appreciated. I have googled it and seached it here with no success. Until last week, I was using Window Fax and Scan to Fax out my Word Docs to clients. It has worked great for 4 months. Now when I print to fax, Windows Fax and Scan loads and then the following error box appears: "Fax Service stopped working and was closed, A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available." I can close the box, the only other clue is at the bottom of the windows fax and scan page screen it says "All fax accounts are inacccessible". I am using Windows Vista Business with Service Pack 1 and my version of outlook where the fax numbers are stored is Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager. -- StuartGM |

Haven't seen this one before with WFS. Any more clues like the steps that
created the problem or Event viewer? What do you see when you examine your Fax Account? Have you examined your firewall settings? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "StuartGM" wrote in message ... Other Clues.... - It did happen before I updated to Service Pack 1, so that is not the cause. - Under firewallsWFS is listed as an exception. - Modem shows working correctly Usually you figure it might happen after a crash, or bad install...This one is strange. -- StuartGM |

What happens if you use another method for faxing? What document type are
you faxing? What Word version? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "StuartGM" wrote in message ... Before, it stopped working I was only faxing from Microsoft Office Woord 2007. The only thing that I did different and I wonder now if it is a potential cause is.... I had two word documents that I wanted to attach and couldnt see how to do it so, I printed in word to fax on the first item. This opened the fax program with the tif attachment and allows you to put in the phone #. I then printed two fax the second document, and another box opens with the second attachment. I dragged the second attachment over to the first and dropped it into the first fax broadcast. Could this have caused the issue? -- StuartGM |
