Default Vista and connecting to the internet

Good evening,

I have a computer that I only use occasionally that has Vista on it and
every time I attempt to access the Internet I get a message that the browser
can not connect to the site.

I can go into network setup and see all of the computers and the gateway on
the network, but I can not hit a web site.

I do notice that the access level for network connection on this PC is set
to Local Access, and I am not familiar enough with Vista to know how to
change that.

I just checked that status now and it shows 'Access: Local and Internet'

Can someone please provide me with some assistance?

Thank you,

Fred

Make sure the router and NIC are compatible with Vista. Or this search
