Default How do you run chkdsk?

So Ive been trying to run chkdsk on vista and it doesn't seem to do
much. The window pops up for all of half a second and that's it.

Any ideas?

It says that it will run once I re-start however nothing seems to happen
upon re-start. Should I try running it in safe mode or will that just
ask me to re-start again?

Hello e0d0d,

Since chkdsk will not start for you, then you might see if this
tutorial can help you instead.
