(My comp runs on vista)I have an x on my audio icon that's next to the time
on my desktop. When i go to the properties of the audio no driver appears.(no name or nothin)it used to say sigmatel. When i try to install driver with the help wizard i get this message..(Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.) it also says (A device attached to the system is not functioning.) When i go to device manager there is a question mark on the Sigmatel high definition audio CODEC. I tried so many sigmatel drivers from the internet and none of them work..If anyone can help me i would really aprreshiate it... mayday maydday help!!! -- fl |

All that playing around with "so many sigmatel drivers" probably screwed your system up worse than it was. You need to find out EXACTLY what sound card is on your system. Try Googling "belarc advisor". Find it, install it, run it. Find the sound card in the list. DDW -- Reply via this group No email please |
