We are having a heck of a time getting a new Vista laptop to talk with a
shared folder on a 2000 system. We have matched workgroup names, both have internet access, no firewalls, no internet security software (just AVGFree), are up-to-date...our XP Home box can see and use the 2000 share but not Vista. Looking for any additional insight to get this connected. Thanks in advance, Dan |

Can ping the windows 2000 by IP? If yes, can you ping it by name?
