Issue with print monitor software not working on a share
PC#1 Vista 64bit SP1 8GB RAM / PC# 2 XP Professional 32bit SP3 1GB
RAM / Epson 2200 printer ' Shared' I can print fine from the Vista PC to the shared Epson 2200 connected to the XP PC. However, when I try to use the Epson Monitor (Utilities) on the Vista PC to clean the print heads, perform maintenance or check ink volumn, nothing happens. The utility SW is installed on the XP PC too, but does not show up? I'm using the XP PC as a print server to reduce the length of USB cable run from the Vista PC which was causing communication errors. This is a problem, because it's necessary to frequently align and clean the print heads using the utility. Help and suggestions appreciated - IM
