Default Synaptics Touch Pad & Flashplayer?

When I play a flashplayer video (eg. CNN) the synaptics touch pad scrolling
quits functioning!
I have: uninstalled and re-installed Flashplayer
Updated synaptics drivers

Any suggestions?
Don

Hi Don
I am having the same problem I think?. When I read your problem it
reminded me that I did try to play a video this morning on my
computer(scroll was working) and now the scrolling part of my keypad
doesn't work.
I went into the control panel to see what it said about my synaptics
pointing device and it said
"Unable to connect to the pointing device. If you have installed
another pointing device you need to uninstall the synaptics driver by
clicking the yes button. You then need to reinstall your pointing
device driver. Do you want to uninstall the synaptics driver now.
Click YES or NO? When I hit no this comes up "Windows host
process(Rundll 32) has stopped working.

I did a Vista update a few days ago but everything was working.
I would appreciate any ideas
Thanks,

There's a configuration file that tells the touchpad how to
behave in various programs. I've used a patch to fixup firefox scrolling
on a xp laptop.
Have no idea the format to construct one from scratch.
