Hi, for months I have been trying to solve this problem, I have a HP
pavillion labtop with an integrated Broadcom WLAN adapter, for some reason
when im on my wireless connection I get a BSOD that says "IRQL NOT LESS OR
EQUAL" i can only get a quick glance at the file displayed on the bottom
"bcmwl16.sys" or something like that, now i have tried many things,
uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter, updating the drivers, even some
some solutions offered by HP. But none have worked, the only way it doesnt
happen is if im on my ethernet connection. Someone plz help me .

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
CPU: AMD Athalon X2

Hi,

If not already set, change the system recovery options to create small dump
file for when this happens. This is done from the startup and recovery
options of the advanced system settings (control panel/system). Once it
occurs again, locate the file under C:\Windows\Minidump and send it to me
via email at rick_at_mvps_dot_org using a subject line of 'per req'.

The dump file may contain additional clues as to where the actual problem
lies. Also, you may find that the very programs you are using to protect the
system are the cause of your problems. In particular, Norton's software,
especially older versions, is known to create wireless issues. Fully
disabling it may resolve your issue.
