It certainly would help us to help you to know what application(s) you were
running when the BSOD occured. and/or the contents of the BSOD since just knowing your configuration does not help much. If you downgrade to 2GB of RAM do you still get the BSOD? The fact that your BIOS is over a year old may be the cause of your problem. ctaud2k would point toward a Creative Sound Card issue.
